How often should I have my fine jewelry inspected?
Fine jewelry should be cleaned and inspected at least twice per year. At Goldmasters Custom Jewelers, we encourage our customers to stop in anytime they are in the area. We look for wear or damage that may have loosened the gemstones in their settings or weakened a clasp on a chain or bracelet. And, we are always happy to clean your jewelry for you! We love to see it sparkle too!

Is my jewelry sent away to be repaired?
Absolutely not! Your jewelry never leaves Goldmasters Custom Jewelers. All jewelry repairs are done right here in our studio. At Goldmasters, we take every precaution to ensure that the jewelry you leave in our care is safe, secure, and handled responsibly at all times.

Is it more expensive to have jewelry custom made?
Custom-made jewelry is handcrafted one design at a time, and that requires a very crucial extra step designing the jewelry exactly the way you want it.
This step requires carefully developing your design and then creating a one-of-a-kind wax model of your design. This model is what is used to cast your original design in gold or platinum. The precious metal casting is then hand polished, carefully set with the gemstones of your choice, hand polished again, and finished to perfection.
Remember, with custom-made jewelry you have options. While developing your design, we can suggest options that may fit your budget more comfortably.

Where do you get the gemstones for my design?
Many customers come to us with gemstones from outdated jewelry or those they purchased while on vacation. We have designed jewelry using diamonds from Aunt Mary's cocktail ring, opals from Australia, pearls from the South Seas, and coral from the Caribbean.

If you need diamonds or other gemstones for your design, we are happy to help you find the perfect ones. Having worked with industry professionals for nearly 40 years, we have established a network of trustworthy diamond and colored gemstone sources.
